    Three people are kneeling on a stage at the far end of the ballroom, bound, gagged, and blindfolded. They don’t get masks to hide behind, a privilege reserved to their captors filling the room, wearing bulky cloaks to obscure their silhouettes. This disgusting parody of a gala sickens me: gaudy decor, chandeliers, and classical music politely accompanying the hushed conversations.
